Scanned

Just finished scanning all the stuffs that Coach Dayong lend me for his Art Website. Those stuffs were composed of photos of his paintings, workshops, illustration on newspapers and all about his artworks.

While doing this work, I got the chance to see Coach Dayong's world. His art-full world outside the basketball court. I always appreciate paintings because I know It's quite hard to create, only who has creative minds and talented hands can do such artworks like of Coach Dayong's, that's why I can't help but to admire him because of his talents. He's an artist and a basketball coach at the same time.

I will be working as the webmaster for his website and I'm glad that he chose me to work on this. This would serve as a side-work for me while studying and an experience on building a website as well.

Untitled

My brother asked me if i could help him with his "mtv". So we set all things up, he chose to sing "untitled" by Simple plan. We practiced the scenes first, then started to shoot. This video was made within the four walls of our room, hahaha!

I just used the camera of my phone because our videocam was busted so the video quality wasn't that good.

Dyarrrraaann! Here it is now, watch my brother do his "thang!" haha. Enjoy.

START LAUGHING!

Within the walls

It is good to have a historical landmark within the heart of Manila, country's center of education and business trades. I always think of where am I goin' to set up a photoshoot, where conceptual subjects are everywhere until Intramuros crossed within my mind search. It's just a 15 to 20 minutes walk from the boarding house where I'm staying right now.

INTRAMUROS, the old capital of Manila, was built in 1571. It remains a monumental, if ruined, relic of the Spanish period in Philippine history. It is a city within a city, separated from the rest of Manila by its crumbling walls. This ancient capital had well-planned streets, plazas, the Governor's Palace and churches. However, many buildings were reduced to shambles in World War II.

BALUARTE DE SAN ANDRES. This is one of the Baluartes that will be found within the walls. Baluarte is a Spanish word for "bastion". These places are strongholds of Spaniards during the Spanish era. The other notable baluartes in Intramuros are Baluarte de San Diego, Baluarte de San Gabriel, Baluarte de Sta Barbara.

MANILA CATHEDRAL. The Manila Cathedral, also known as the minor basilica of the Immaculate Conception, was the seat of the Archbishop of Manila during the Spanish colonization in the Philippines, and still remains the ecclesisastical seat of the Archdiocese of Manila.

PALACIO DEL GOBERNADOR.
This is the residence and office of the governor general during the Spanish colonial period in the Philippines.

FORT SANTIAGO. This was a defense fortress built for Spanish conquistador, Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. The fort is part of the structures of the walled city. This was also where Rizal was imprisoned. Today the fort serves as a museum which houses well-preserved legacies of the Spanish government, Jose Rizal (which is called the Plaza de Armas), Rizal Shrine, and the prison dungeons for criminals used by the Spanish officials.

I really had a great time walking around the place that was a part of my country's history. Passing through and walking around the remains of the past gave me goosebumps, not just because the place were old and creepy, it is also because, I know that I'm walking and witnessing where the "historical people" used to stay and walked in.

Witness history. Discover intramuros. Discover Philippines.

AfterCRAP

After a disappointing morning, instead of me, soloing the photoshoot, I invited my friendsto come with me at Intramuros. I convinced them that they'll enjoy the rest of the day atthe so-called walled city. We went there after lunch at around 1 in the afternoon, the sun'smoving with us as we walked through but twas a good thing, we had a good weather timing, no rainshower hassles at all.

We walked around Intramuros, passed through the Baluartes, took pic of them, took pic of this and that. After passing through the Manila Cathedral, we headed to Fort Santiago. I took picturesof the historic scenes and took pictures of friends as well.

I could say that we really had a great time walking and taking pictures, we had funny shots and our favorite jump shots. We've decided to go home after we had rounds at Fort Santiago.
It was a long day, a tiring but definitely a fun fun day!

Photoshoot will never be that great without models, My indie photoshoot willnever be this happy without my FRIENDS.

Great time. Great Friends.

Enrolment CRAP

I got up early today to go to school, get my grades and meet my friends as well. It's the first day of enrolment for the block sections, my friends and I decided toenroll at the first day because we might run out slots.

First thing, when I arrived at school, I got my laboratory clearance then headedto our department to get my grades. Whew, everything went out fine, my grades was allgood. After a tough sem, I was still able to achieve good remarks.

We stayed first at the department because my friends was still waiting for the receipt of their down payment. We checked the schedule of our block at the "enrolmentarea" but into our suprise, there's no schedule for BLOCK 302 there, there, was just a schedule for Block 301. So we asked Ms. Ana why there is no schedule for our blockon the board? Then she explained that, before they'll open block 302, they would still have to fill the whole slots of block 301. WHAAAAT?!

We are so pissed. 4 of our classmates was already enrolled on that section because theyweren't aware of that "new system of block enrolment". They asked the encoding section'if they can still transfer on the other block, but twas a "NO".

We talked over things first, because most of us doesn't want to be included on that section. We are block -02 since then and now they want us to transfer into that other block? NOWAY! Since then, 302 and 301 has this "block issues", that includes competition, "archrivals" in other words. As much as possible, we are avoiding them but now, there is a possibilitythat our block and that other block together?! Oh no.

Now, we're not enrolled yet, we're still waiting for that first block to be filled beforewe enroll.
Block 302 is Block 302. SOLID.

It is still, "Love ko pharma 302/".

Oh shoot! Weather's not good

It's on my weekend plan to visit Intramuros for an indie photo shoot but I cancelled it because of the weather. Grrr, the sky were dark a while ago and now it's raining. Wrong timing weather, why did it have to burst on weekends, why not this weekdays when I got nothing to do? ump!

Cancelled now, i'll try next week. I texted my friends and invited them to join me (ooh I got models now eh? haha) on the shoot. And they've said YES right away (only Grace, but Francine pinilit pa. haha).

Oh well... I still got two more weeks to enjoy sembreak. For now, I'll just enjoy watching dvds and net surfing and blogging all day. Lazy me.

Who would have thought?

I don't have any idea what was happened at Glorietta yesterday until someone told me about the Blast. geezz, horrible. There were 8 fatalities and now there were more than a hundred injured, and counting! The cause of the explosion wasn't confirmed yet, though the authorities said that twas because of the LPG (that kind? I dont think so), but they were still considering the fact that twas an "attack". And IF twas really an attack, my gahd.

I feel so bad for all the victims of this tragedy. Who would think that a leisurely afternoon in a popular shopping mall could turn out this way, this horrible?

I hope the weekend would be peaceful. Take extra care people, and spend some time with your loved ones…

Videos of Glory: A Tribute to DLSU Green Archers

Tribute for the Green Archers. These videos gave me goosebumps, really touching. IT'S THE HEART THAT REALLY MATTERS IN THE END.

ANIMO LA SALLE!

B E R D E ang tunay na kulay ng tagumpay!

Spell champions! L-A-S-A-L-L-E

L-A-S-A-L-L-E rah!

Yea! After a season of suspension, the best team in the UAAP is really back! They struggled for the finals' spot against their archrivals, the Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles for five glorious and jam-packed game. They were able to prove that they are the ones who are deserving to be in the Finals even if they'd lost 3 out of the 5 games. "2 is better than 3".

They battled for the Finals against the unbeaten team in the eliminations, the UE red warriors. Some thought that the warriors is the best team in the UAAP since they are undefeated, but but but WHAT HAPPENED? Game 1- its LASALLE, Game 2- it is still LASALLE! What happened to the "powerhouse" players of the red team? They've swept the elims but they've swept by La Salle in the finals.

Oh well, La Salle is La Salle. Once they're back, they're on! I never stopped believing in DLSU, I always believe in the PROWESS OF THE GREEN ARCHERS. (Even if, I admit, I am an Adamsonian) but my heart will always belong to LA SALLE. I really admire the school and the Lasalistas, not just because of the UAAP, it's the wholeness of the university. I always admire their SCHOOL SPIRIT, their unconditional support and love for their team, for their school.

I remember someone telling me that (this is the time when la salle has been struggling to win against ateneo): "Uy Kring, wala na ang La Salle, lipat ka na sa Ateneo". - - I just smiled. But deep inside me, i said "I have faith. Alam kong hindi basta basta magpapatalo ang la salle".

I'D RATHER BE GREEN THAN BE BLUE

If I were to live my whole life again,
I'd still want to be a LaSallista pa rin
Bayaran mana ako,
I will still say to you
I'd rather be green than be blue

CONGRATULATIONS to the UAAP Season 70 Men's Basketball CHAMPIONS, The DE LA SALLE UNIVERSITY GREEN ARCHERS! The team will always be the champs for me, for the whole La Sallian community. Keep that ANIMO aflame!

Hail! to De La Salle!

Ty bags it!

UAAP Season 70 Men's Basketball Champs

The MVPs of the Finals sharing the pride. Cholo and Jvee

Jvee loving it.

THEY'RE BACK. THEY'RE ONE. and now, they are NUMBER 1.

They're lost somewhere in the bitterness

"It is one of the severest tests of friendship to tell your friend his faults. So to love a man that you cannot bear to see a stain upon him, and to speak painful truth through loving words, that is friendship."

-Henry Ward Beecher

TRUE! but not all of us understands this quote. Sometimes, when you try to tell your friend his or her faults and wrong doings, they tend to get pissed and suddenly get mad. They tend to ignore what you've just said and totally turn their backs at you. They just suddenly forget your friendship and worst, they'll become your enemies. They just do not appreciate your concern, they don't care about you. You call them, you consider them as FRIENDS but they do not manifest TRUE FRIENDSHIP.

I had experienced this and we're still not in good terms until now. (Don't you worry guys, I wont drop your names here). Things has been said and done, I think we'll not work anymore so we've decided, my group and their group that(this was exactly francine said) "Para wala ng gulo, kalimutan na lang natin na nagkakilala tayo. 'Wag na lang tayo magpansinan, wala na lang parinigan. Titigil kami, tumigil na kayo".

That's it. We lost friends. But I think that's better since "kaunting nasabihan lang, kinalimutan na ang pagkakaibigan". Grow up guys! ("walang mangyayari sa inyo kung ganyan kayo").

Sem is over, let's move to the next level

Thank God, I was able to pass through the first semester of my 3rd year as a Pharmacy student. This first semester was really a tough one, I had lots of subjects, I had 4 minor and the rest was all major and pharmacy subjects with 4 laboratory subjects and I don't know how I was able to handle it all, whew! There's a lot of NO MORE and ENOUGH now...

Philippine History: No more advance readings and recitations! Yea, enough of them but I admit I really enjoyed my history class. I could say that, "Learning history isn't boring... with Sir Orestes!" hahaha. El Professor! I remember him saying: "Mukha man akong mandirigma..." Yea I know, looks can be very deceiving. At first I thought he was one of the "terrorists", oh yea I was really wrong. He has a big heart, very funny and a very good professor. (Better not to be late, better to limit those absences or else, the whole class will here - - (surname) D R O P P E D!) Punctuality and Responsibility as a student is what you need in his class.

Physical Chemistry: No more computations, no more table of atomic weights, no more valences, no more Thermodynamics and Thermochemistry, enough of them all! Try to mention "Phychem" to every 3rd year students(batchmates) and they will surely say "NOSEBLEED!". This is, I think, the subject that made us cogitate and study real hard. It's not about memorizations but we really have to analize, to understand every piece of the lessons. (You really have to stick your head at Ma'am crucis, or else, you'll be definitely lost!) All ears and mind is what you need in this class.

Hospital Pharmacy: No more photocopies(haha. yea. you want some scratch?), no more TPN talk, and no more latin abbreviations. I enjoyed this though I was just texting while in this class. haha. No problem with the lectures, it's in the photocopies and I would just have to borrow francine's notes. Oh lazy me!

Technical Writing: Enough of business letters, enough of resumes, enough of index cards! I also enjoyed this class though there was a requirement that cracked me off my nerves!. That is when our professor asked us to do our research/term paper as our requirement of the course, with just 2 weeks left?! and not as a group, individually take note! We were really pissed but we dont have a choice, we need to accomplish that for two short weeks. And one more thing, it's already exam week, we need to study but we really dont have a choice but to continue the paper before or after studying. Whew. I stayed all night for a week, I just had 2 to 3 hours of sleep. A total cram! Fortunately, we were able to finished it and passed it on time. Yeay!

Politics and Governance: No more memorizations for the recitation of the laws, enough of the articles, enough of the constitution! One of my favorite subject, not just the subject itself but also because of the professor. Sir Alejandro "Dondon" Nueva Jr! the GREENY but WITTY professor. He always throw greeny jokes on the class and he always get to hit on my seatmate Norma (crush daw eh? haha). We always get a "happy hour" in his class (this is our last class, it ends by 7pm), but he always make sure that we get to understand his lectures. I have a quote in this class, it's, "At the end of the day... Sir Nueva's on his way!". Full memory is what you need.

Rizal's life and works: Enough of recitation every meeting (my gahd this made me sickkkkk!). I hate oral recitations, but in this class, I have no choice. Enough of this. Verbal skills and Interpretation is what you need.

Pharmacognosy: Enough of Plants, enough of tabulations for the lec and lab, enough for the phytochemical tests, enough of alkaloids and whatever! I didn't enjoy much in this class, it is all bout tabulations of plants with their definition, description, constituents and use. Errr. Im just really lazy tabulating, haha!

Pharmaceutical Dosage Forms: Enough of drug tabulations, enough of long lectures, enough of memorizing almost all of the drugs, enough of the generics and manufacturers! (though that's Pharmacy was all about, TIME OUT MUNA!) I enjoyed this subject, I was get to familiarize with the different kinds of drugs, their dosage forms, their generics and use. THIS IS A WRITING CLASS. haha. (When I say "writing class", I just mean that there's a lot of lectures. You need an extra notebook! hahaha. I am not kidding, you really need to and a fully loaded pen and extras!) I enjoyed not just the subject itself but also because of the professor, it's Ma'am MERU! She's a writer(oh! haha. just kidding. I mean it's like, "part na ng system nya ang pagsusulat"), a very approachable and considerate professor. I like her, everybody does. And we all get to laugh out loud when she laugh like "ahihihihi". =)

Enough of those subjects. I enjoyed. I learned.

I'll move to the next level.

Biochemistry, Physical Pharmacy, Microbiology and more, they are WAITING WAITING WAITING.

This is my core

Ooh I'm back to blogger again, after a sem-long of no blogging because of overloaded sched this previous sem. Nothing in particular that I want to write about here, I mean anything goes.
